I'm guessing Salty knew Mias when he was a child. She can tell just by looking at him that he's gotten into trouble, she's comfortable talking back to him despite his supposedly fearsome reputation, and I'm guessing she knew his parents since she says "a Dormaeus thrives on trouble" instead of "you thrive on trouble".
