LOL , the first question is so apt .... " was disappointed that those streamlined vehicles " and the rest of it "remained unobtainable to most people " , "Make " magazine article about artist Baron Margo who now builds his own art cars and robots . Oddly his work has influenced me to work on my own projects about the Retro-Future . IE: when growing up I loved Popular Science Magazine and their stories about flying cars , robots and space ships . Well , I don't have a darn flying car and I don't know anybody that does ! I've waited way too long . I'm working on my own . Frankly I don't care if it does fly as long as it looks like it could . Hint , don't wait on big business or government it's vanishingly rare when they have any vision , they want the easy way out .

Way before the 80's

It's a very pretty city!! Too bad you weren't here for any of the events, some of them are a lot of fun. Sean and I are doing the zombie walk next month.

Thank gods I'm not the only one who trips over their own clothing while trying to put it on. I have a horrible time with not smashing my head into the wall while trying to get my pants on...which probably explains why I usually wear skirts.

I plan to not do this, and you know why?
not only because I am not the fourth person in this journal,
and not only because I have a rather extensive explanation as to what I would want God to tell me. :XD:

But because the most recent journal on my page is advertising my art showing. :p
and i don't want to take it down, not yet anyway.

I absolutely love Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium! I saw it for the first time this summer, and laughed and cried more than I think I have during any other movie.

Sorry if I'm being a creeper, I was just happy somebody else had seen and (hopefully) enjoyed the movie :)

Na, that's awesome. :) Your actually the first person to make any sort of comment on it.

That movie rocks on sooo many kinds of levels. I think I can honestly say it's the only movie that is directed towards kids that deals with death in a way that is something they can grasp as well as being good for adults too. People forget that life is supposed to be an adventure.

Yeah, that's why I love it! Seriously, I never cry at movies, and this one had my eyes dripping every other scene. There are so many amazing quotes and pearls of wisdom that I could practically make a wall poster dedicated to them :) *sigh* I wish I had the money to buy that movie... Mebbe once Christmas comes I'll ask for it :D

Yeah, Christmas will show up soon enough. :)

I usually hate it when a movie makes me cry, and I STILL adore that movie even though it does exactly that. There are only two other movies that I know of that have that same effect for me (making me cry but I don't care).

IIIII KNOW! Me too! I hate crying, but I completely agree in the case of this movie. One movie I loved (but still can't watch because it's just so abismally tragic) was Pixar's "Up". That...that had me bawling within the first fifteen minutes, and then there'd be those moments every now and again, those poignant one-liners! AUGH!

Heh, my boyfriend refuses to ever watch "Up" because he knows full well he'll just cry through the whole thing :P

Up is really good. :)

I don't know, I think it's kinda sweet when guys cry at movies. People should be allowed to show their emotions.

One of the ones that goes on my list is "City of Angels." Beautiful story, but it makes me cry my eyes out every time. :)

Oh no, he's totally okay with crying and all that jazz (moreso than me in most situations), but he just doesn't like watching movies he knows he's going to bawl during :)

Coolio! Perhaps I shall check it out :D And have a fresh box of tissues on hand XD
