Update: Thanks so so much for all your well wishes!! I had a great birthday, much more than I expected it to be. Mainly because it involved surprise prezzies, Pizza, sun and Iron man(go and see it, and wait til the credits finish), which rocked muchly, and the new full Indie trailer, which also rocks muchly!!!

In exactly 3 hours Ben will be here! Finally!! So much excitement!!

Well today is the last day of my life at the age of 22... *re-reads that*
Man that kinda sucks. Oh well I like the number 23, its cool.

And as it's my birthday tomorrow, I decided to open my presents today! Screw tradition! And besides, nothings going to compare to when I finally see my Ben after six weeks! He's flying home tomorrow!!! Eeeeee!!!!
So excited!!! Really good start to the upcoming bank holiday weekend ^__^

Hey ya'll just an update on whats been going on and whats coming up! Exciting things indeed!

Thing the first:
The last week has been great! I was in London on the weekend with *raygirl (Thanks for the fake moisturiz0r) and *Araniel (OMG! To the Bat Cave!!).
We did a great many things including hanging out in the Natural History museum, Covent Garden, Gosh Comics, where purchased a great many books that crippled my little fingers greatly, and also where I purchased the most awesomest of Hellboy figurines! [link]
We went to see the Lion King in the theatre aswell, darling. Just spiffy wot ho! So yeah, really cool weekend.

Also got some sneaky peeks of the new Avatar episodes this week which got me so excited! Thanks to `maxwell-heza for sending me the link. Here's the trailer (I'm sure a lot of you have seen it already) BUT BEWARE OF SPOILERS! [link]
And I also snooped around the youtubeverse and found the beginning of episode 17 [link]

So yay!! But we have to wait to JULY!!! *cries*

Thing the second:
This is my last week of being 22. Yep this time next week I'll be celebrating my 23rd birthday, but more importantly, Ben comes home!! I'm so EXCITED!!!! I can't wait til he gets back! Finally!! Yay yay yay!!! I'm actually surprised it's been almost 6 weeks already.

Ha ha!! Not gonna be concentrating much next week...

Its about bloody time I did this journal. I've been meaning to do this for ages (actually, years) and help give this awesomely talented artist the recognition she deserves.

This journal is completely dedicated to the wonderful works of .
I've known of her work since my early days on dA, as she joined about the same time I did, and I've been watching her work ever since and have been continually blown away by her talent, and even graced with some giftart.

Her illustrations, concepts and character designs are so imaginative, colourful and beautifully rendered, with a traditional style that I am so very jealous of. Not forgetting her amazing sculpting skills of course.
Her style ranges from wacky and funny to modest and grounded and deep.
She is a wonderful person and it a joy to recieve one of her funny and well thought of and helpful comments.

It is always a fun and pleasurable experience to explore her gallery and I beseech you to do the same.
This is my thankyou for being one of the delights of dA. I wish I could do you more justice.

Went to the cinema last night and the night before, which is awesome because the last time I went was bloody November last year to see Stardust. So two nights in a row is pretty good.

First night I went to see the Spiderwick. I read a review on Empire which confirmed what I thought about it.
Labyrinth meets The Goonies meets Jumanji. It was really enjoyable and the fantasy really quite dark which was great! A few moments in it actually had me panicking and the special effects were great too. Highly reccomend it.

But oh ho ho!

Went to see Horton Hears a Who last night. I havn't laughed so much in aaages. It was so funny and charming and beautifully animated and acted and I WANT A JOJO PLUSHIE!!! Oh my goodness so many wonderful expressions...

... going off on a sidenote I'm really not so great at reviews. You want reviews go see *raygirl, she does them better and lovingly mocks the crap out of mine XD

But these are two really brilliant films that I think deserved to be seen.

Ah I is so behind the times!!! *shakes head* Oh dear. I'm gonna go sit in this lonely corner now while you young people go watch your films before me. *sobs*

Finally!!!

I feel like I'm starting to get places and out of my art slump! I'm seeing people I've missed and wanted to see for ages and some of whom I am now working with. Such a great environment!
I've almost filled up my notebook with new ideas that I want to draw and write. I'm going to have to post my note doodles soon. They are really fun and I want you to see them.

I'm almost halfway though my wait for Ben to come home, just 3 more weeks, though I'm contemplating actually flying over to Toronto and visiting him for a week. Which would be really awesome. He sent me some photo's and it looks like a great city.

I've never felt more creative!
