The Faces of Spring by StressedJenny The Faces of Spring by StressedJenny
Drew these almost exactly a year ago to the week :D. Part of a character design project for animation. These are some of the prps and concept work. All the first years have been doing this project so I dug out me old sketchbooks to look back at the good old days. Some of these are the crapsness, but you'd never get to see them otherwise. Wish I had developed this character more. I'll do a much better version when I have time. Got the idea from the green men you get in churches. Pencil, Ink, Watercolour, Pastel and karisma pencils.

Reminds me of a picture on a musical piece I once sang, The Garten Mother's Lullaby.

These are beautiful. I especially like the one in the lower left hand corner.

I just had to look on wikipedia to see what a Green Man looked like. And I can really see how that influenced your drawings, they're rather strange looking, but very fun. Well, I think so at least.
By the way, I really really adore these sketches! I know I favorite and like a lot of more childish things, but these are really amazing! :3

It's interesting to see how you've developed her! In this collection, I like how she looks best in the center panel, the top center, and the bottom left.

Green men in churches? That sounds interesting! Do you mean something in a stained glass window?

Maybe, though I've never seen them in stained glass before. They are usually carvings in the joints of arches or alongs the walls and ceilings.

Yay Green men are cool.
Once tried to make one of clay but forgot to pick it up after it was baked.

This is gorgeous!

It really resembles traditional concept art for animations... a "style" of art I've always liked. Quick, preliminary character designs, etc... anyway.

I really like her. She's a wonderfully imaginative creation!
