Priestess of Falcons by StressedJenny Priestess of Falcons by StressedJenny
Inspired by my trip to the Louvre. I spotted this beautiful Egyptian statue and had to draw her costume. I loved the feather design on her dress so much and I really wanted to recreate it in a drawing. I wasn't too sure on the history of the statue or what it was supposed to represent, but with the feather design I had to include some Falcons in there.
The hieroglyphics roughly translate into something like
"I give you feather cos I love you prietess lady"

Haha! Geez I love Egyptian stuff so much.
Howard Carter was my hero whan I was eight! XD

I now ship these two falcons. I say the one giving the feather is a girl and the other one is a boy.

I love how clean the lines on this are and i have serious foot envy with how well drawn that foot is!

I think this might be Isis in a form without her wings?

I thought it was Ma'at.

??? Maybe, I only know that Isis is usually seen with feathers or wings, but Ma'at is too, so it might be either.

True... but Ma'at is so feather-licious that her feather's used for determining whether or not a soul gets to go to Egypt-heaven

Oh is THAT where they got the feather? I always wondered about that. Well, on that note, I vote for Ma'at.
